ParkGuide-Offline Privacy Policy
ParkGuide-Offline is an iPhone travel utility for browsing offline-ready guides to U.S. national parks. The current app version is designed to work without an account and to keep core usage data on your device whenever possible.
1. Information We Collect
ParkGuide-Offline is intended to collect no directly identifying personal information for normal app use, such as your name, phone number, or email address.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
- Downloaded park packs and related offline guide content.
- Favorites, saved parks, and simple trip checklist selections.
- App preferences such as unit settings and storage-related choices.
3. How This Information Is Used
- To let you access park guides while offline or in weak-signal areas.
- To remember which parks you saved or downloaded.
- To restore your preferred app settings between launches.
4. Location and Tracking
The current app plan does not require continuous location tracking, ad tracking, or a marketing profile. If location-related functionality is added later, it should only be requested with clear in-app permission and this policy will be updated before release.
5. Third-Party Services
The current version is intended to ship without ad SDKs, third-party analytics trackers, or a mandatory account backend. If that changes materially in a future release, the data practices on this page will be revised.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Based on the current design, routine app usage does not require sending your saved parks, checklist items, or offline content history to our own servers.
7. Children's Privacy
ParkGuide-Offline is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Policy Updates
If the app's privacy practices change, this page will be updated and the effective date above will be revised.
