About the app
Needle-Calc helps needlepoint stitchers plan a project before stitching. It estimates canvas cuts, stitch counts, thread quantities, per-color needs, and a practical shopping list.
Frequently asked questions
Are the thread and stitch results exact?
No. Results are planning estimates. Canvas, stitch choice, thread coverage, tension, waste, and personal technique can affect the final amount needed.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No. The app is designed for offline use and does not require sign-in or account creation.
Where are my saved projects stored?
Projects, color plans, and settings are stored locally on your device. The current version does not provide cloud sync or recovery.
Can I share a shopping list?
Yes. Select the share option in the app to send generated text through the Apple system share sheet to a destination you choose.
My project is missing. What can I do?
Check whether it was deleted or whether app data was cleared. Because data remains on-device, it cannot be restored from a developer server.
