Seattle-Ferry Privacy Policy

Seattle-Ferry is an iPhone app for riders who want fast access to Washington State Ferries schedules, route details, and service alerts. The current version is designed to minimize data collection and keep core usage local to your device.

1. Information We Collect

The current app version is intended to work without account registration. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or other direct identifiers to use the core app experience.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

Your saved route preferences, including favorite routes or terminals.
App settings used to restore your preferred viewing experience.
Basic local cache data that helps the app load ferry schedules and route details more efficiently.

3. Ferry Data and Alerts

Seattle-Ferry displays publicly available Washington State Ferries information, such as schedules, sailing times, and service alerts. This operational data is used only to provide the app's core functionality and is not tied to a personal account profile in the current version.

4. Third-Party Services

Based on the current release plan, Seattle-Ferry does not include an advertising SDK, a marketing tracker, or a user account backend. If analytics, cloud sync, or other third-party services are added in a future release, this policy will be updated before those changes take effect.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Based on the current app design, routine use of the app does not require transmitting your saved favorites or settings to our own servers.

6. Your Choices

You can remove the app from your device at any time. Doing so also removes locally stored app data that is kept within the app sandbox on your device, subject to how iOS manages app deletion.

7. Children's Privacy

Seattle-Ferry is a travel utility and is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Policy Updates

If data practices change materially, we will update this page and revise the effective date shown above.
