Crochet-Counter Privacy Policy
Crochet-Counter is an offline-first crochet row counter and project tracker. This policy explains what information the app handles, where that information is stored, and how you can manage it.
Summary: the current version does not require an account, does not include ads, and does not track you across apps or websites. Your counters, project notes, and progress data are stored only on your device by default.
Information the app stores
To provide row counting and project tracking features, the app may store the following information locally on your device:
- Project details such as project names, yarn notes, hook notes, and free-form notes.
- Counter data such as current row, repeat counts, manual adjustments, and progress state.
- App preferences such as display choices and other local settings used to restore your workspace.
Where data is stored
All app data is stored locally on the device. The current version does not provide account registration, cloud sync, or a developer-operated backend service, so your project data is not uploaded to the developer's servers.
What the app does not do
- It does not require sign-in or account creation.
- It does not include advertising SDKs.
- It does not perform cross-app tracking.
- It does not sell, rent, or share your local project data with third parties.
- It does not access contacts, photos, microphone, or camera for its core functionality.
Notifications
If a future version includes optional reminder features and you choose to enable them, the app may request notification permission only to deliver reminders on your device. Reminder contents would remain local unless stated otherwise in an updated policy.
Data deletion and correction
You can edit or delete project data directly in the app. You can also remove local data by deleting app data from your device or uninstalling the app. Data stored in the app sandbox is typically removed by the system when the app is deleted.
Children's privacy
The app is a simple utility for crochet tracking and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
Policy updates
If the app later adds accounts, sync, analytics, or third-party services, this policy will be updated to describe those changes.
