Contraction-Watch Privacy Policy
Contraction-Watch is a labor contraction timing app for iPhone with an Apple Watch companion. This policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and what choices you have.
Summary: the current version does not require an account, does not include ads, and does not track you across apps or websites. Contraction logs, timing history, export content, and app preferences are stored on your device.
Information the app stores
To provide contraction timing features, the app may store the following information locally on your device:
- Contraction start and stop times, durations, intervals, and recent timing history.
- Export summaries or logs that you choose to generate.
- App preferences used to restore your experience on iPhone and Apple Watch.
Apple Watch companion
The Apple Watch companion is used to start and stop contraction timing with one tap and to display recent timing information. Watch data is used only to support the app's core functionality and stays within the Apple app environment associated with the app.
Where data is stored
In the current version, app data is stored locally on your device. Contraction-Watch does not require account registration, does not provide a developer-operated cloud account, and does not send your contraction logs to a developer-operated backend service.
Sharing
The app includes an optional export and share flow. Information leaves the app only when you explicitly choose to export or share a log using your device's share sheet or another app on your device.
Analytics, ads, and tracking
- No account is required.
- No advertising SDKs are included in the current version.
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking is performed.
- Your information is not sold or rented.
Notifications
If a future version uses notifications for labor timing reminders or alerts, the app will request permission through iOS and watchOS. Any such notifications would be used only for app functionality.
Medical disclaimer
Contraction-Watch is a logging tool only and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always follow guidance from your physician, midwife, or care team.
Data deletion and correction
You can delete your local data by removing logs within the app if that option is available, or by uninstalling the app from your iPhone and Apple Watch. Data stored in the app sandbox is typically removed by the system when the app is uninstalled.
Policy updates
If a future version adds accounts, sync, analytics, crash reporting, or additional third-party services, this policy will be updated to describe those changes before or when they take effect.
